We construct trusted an accessible teaching and learning platforms where marginalized communities can be empowered to improve public educational systems while also addressing the urgency for healing and recovery.

When Edunia creates learning opportunities for people in professional and personal settings, they discover their own individual purpose and become the role models needed to effectively guide future generations. In short, we purposefully teach people to teach purpose.

The quest for knowledge requires resilience, grit and flexibility. School-age children must demonstrate in the learning environment the very skills leaders need in the marketplace. This is not a lesson the schoolteacher alone can be held accountable to teach.

Ordinary people, overcoming extraordinary obstacles, are taught to take lessons-learned from real-life situations into transferable wisdom and knowledge for young people. Whether as a parent, community member, advocate or activist, the objective is to bring awareness to education inequities and make public education a priority— never leaving the responsibility of education to the school

Martina Van Norden, CEO & Founder

In the face of a global crisis, we learned that we could not tolerate educational systems operating for the sole purpose of scoring on standardized tests or meeting the minimum standard for getting a job. The test of a quality education was accessing the knowledge needed to LIVE!

About Our CEO

Martina Van Norden, M. Ed.

Martina Van Norden is the CEO & Founder of All Things Edunia LLC. Martina’s entrepreneurial background and school-based management experience offer the unique and distinct perspective needed to make an impact on achievement and address opportunity gaps for schools in need of improvement. After years of being a classroom teacher, she was contracted to apply her keen ability to create curriculum that aligned with the vision and mission of charter school innovators. This was the start of her educational consulting business. She welcomed the transition into entrepreneurship because it allowed her to explore solutions to the complexities of underperformance in urban schools

As a transformational leader and systems thinker, Martina strategized her work to support schools in need of improvement with issues of community development, economics, and public policy. Her trusted perspective and relational skills led her to support challenged school leaders who needed to move from underperformance through improvement processes. This progressive continuum of moving from problem to purpose led to her self-published work, “The Edunia Experience: Birthing A Generation of Purpose.”

Martina’s passion is to support marginalized groups as they breakthrough institutional, racial, and economic barriers to create alternative learning environments that empower a legacy of competence. Edunia is positioned as a bridge for purposeful school and community engagement. When brave spaces are accessible individuals will fulfill their role become contributors to the village that raises a child.

Martina is dedicated to building an equitable educational ecosystem that serves socio-economically disadvantaged youth. The foundational belief is that the fight for education equity can be won when school-community engagement focuses on access, accountability and advocacy. Edunia programs connect school, faith, business, and community leaders as collaborators on system-based educational reform that builds sustainable communities for the next generation.

Martina holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Hampton University, a Masters of Education in Education Policy & Leadership and is currently pursuing doctoral studies from American University. Her research is inspired by her maternal commitment to educating Black men for generational success.

We connect people of shared mindset and mission to become a coalition. Purpose-driven goal-oriented people come together to support this generation as they envision themselves and their communities beyond the current climate of political in-fighting, environmental threats, and global unrest.
